Material Description

AMS 4590 is a high-strength nickel-aluminium bronze with excellent wear resistance, good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties comparable to quenched-and-tempered steels. Despite being a copper-based alloy, its machining behaviour is more similar to high-strength steel. Universal cutting tools designed for medium- to high-strength steels are recommended, while geometries specifically designed for soft non-ferrous metals are not suitable forthis material.
