Material Description
EN-GJSA-XNiSiCr35-5-2 is a highly alloyed austenitic spheroidal-graphite cast iron, internationally known as Ni-Resist D-5S. Its ~35% Ni stabilizes the austenitic matrix, while ~5% Si and ~2% Cr provide very high oxidation/scaling resistance and good strength at elevated temperatures. It is used particularly for exhaust manifolds, turbocharger housings and gas-turbine components, with service temperatures approaching 1000 °C in suitable applications.
