Material Description
1.2343 / H11 at around 52 HRC is already a hardened tool steel, but this is still approximately the upper limit where some robust general-purpose geometries can work successfully. For more reliable machining and longer tool life, more protected cutting edges and grades intended for higher-strength materials should be preferred. The simplest and usually safest choice is to use tools and geometries designed directly for hardened steels.
