Material Description
1.2067 / 102Cr6 is a cold-work tool steel normally supplied soft annealed at approximately 220 HB and 750 MPa. In this condition it can be machined well with general-purpose or sharper geometries and does not require tools intended for high-strength steels. The material is commonly used for gauges, mandrels, rolls, shear blades and other wear-resistant tooling and is normally hardened after machining. After hardening it typically reaches approximately 57–62 HRC, and further machining requires tools and geometries intended specifically for hardened steels.
